Biogen is committed to the continued education and development of all healthcare professionals working within multiple sclerosis (MS) services.

In addition to sponsoring and co-sponsoring a wide variety of medical educational events in partnership with other organisations, Biogen also works with steering committees to develop peer-led content for bespoke meetings for the MS medical community.

Neurology Service Managers National Network

What: A new national forum event, to explore how strategic and operational initiatives are affecting the delivery of Neurology services.

Who: Neurology Service Managers and Commissioners.

Why: To review the impact of national frameworks and implementation and to discuss service and resource challenges. To provide an opportunity to develop contacts, sharing learning and best practice.

When: 20th September 2019

Neuroradiology in MS Diagnosis and Treatment Monitoring

What: A series of educational meetings on MRI & MS.

Who: Neurologists and neuroradiologists.

Why: To support radiological diagnostics, disease monitoring and safety assessments in people with MS. Learn about evolving imaging techniques and protocols, imaging guidance and safety monitoring, including early recognition of PML associated with natalizumab and gadolinium deposition in the brain.

SpR Training Day

What: Educational day delivered by neurologists on latest developments in MS and key topics in general neurology.

Who: Neurology trainees (SpRs)

Why: Learn about important new developments in MS of relevance for neurology registrars, wide range of topics from diagnostic assessments to management of disease relapse and safety vigilance.

Non-Medical Prescribing Educational Update Meeting

What: Annual CPD accredited meeting providing essential clinical and medicolegal updates to support symptomatic and disease modifying prescribing, with plenaries and interactive workshops.

Who: Non-medical prescribers in MS, e.g. specialist nurses or pharmacists with the non-medical prescribing qualification, who are in training and those considering taking the qualification to prescribe.

Northern Update Meeting

What: CPD accredited multi-disciplinary meeting providing updates on new DMT data and NHS initiatives, and interactive service- and patient-outcome related workshops.

Who: Tailored to multidisciplinary teams working in MS, in particular neurologists, specialist nurses and neurology pharmacists.

Why: Consider how new developments in treatments and the NHS impact on MS services, and interact with colleagues and peers in a best practice-sharing environment. Hear more from some of the meeting’s recent speakers:
